Guest Service Team (FOH)
Bartenders, Servers, Hosts, Bussers, Runners
The guest service team at Old Mill Inn sets the tone from the moment our guests arrive. Whether at the bar, the dining room, or our outside spaces, the guest service team ensures that each and every guest enjoys a clean, festive, friendly & attentive restaurant environment.
Bartender Responsibilities
• Ensure that each beverage you prepare is made to Old Mill Inn standards
• Provide an enjoyable bar experience for every guest
• Be visible behind the bar at all times to assist guests and service staff
• Possess accurate knowledge of all food, liquor, beer and wine offered
• Adhere to timing standards for all services
• Keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Old Mill Inn’s standards at all times
• Complete other general bartender tasks as assigned
Server Responsibilities
• Ensure that each guest feels important & welcome to the Old Mill Inn
• Answer questions and provide recommendations for food and drinks
• Be visible at all times to assist guests and other team members
• Possess accurate knowledge of all food, liquor, beer and wine offered
• Adhere to timing standards for service
• Ring in all orders into Aloha & process payments with a strong attention to detail
• Maintain guest tables through pre-bussing, marking and clearing with correct procedure
• Keep all areas cleaned and service station stocked to Old Mill Inn’s standards at all times
• Show teamwork within front and back of the house
• Complete other general server tasks as assigned
Host Responsibilities
• Greet, seat and present menus to guests
• Manage floor plan and organize wait lists
• Answer phone and answer any questions regarding the menu and restaurant
• Interact with guests as they leave the restaurant
• Keep all areas common guest areas cleaned and stocked to Old Mill Inn’s standards at all times
Busser / Runner Responsibilities
• Support the Servers and Bartenders
• Remove necessary plates while guests are still seated at the table or bar
• Remove or provide extra place settings at the table or bar as needed
• Reset place settings, including silverware, water glasses and linens
• Keep all areas common guest areas cleaned and stocked to Old Mill Inn’s standards
